Not every perpetual settles funding every 8 hours. For each venue, this page counts the contracts on each settlement interval, gives the UTC times those settlements fall on, and lists the contracts whose interval changed in the past 30 days.

Settlements land on whole multiples of the interval counted from 00:00 UTC. In UTC+8 (Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing) the times are the same, because eight hours is a whole multiple of each interval: an 8-hour contract settles at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 there too. Checked against the past 30 days of settled records: 100% of 355,500 settlements fell exactly on these times (counting records whose period matches the contract's current interval).

Intervals are read from the gap between consecutive settlements. The settlement that bridges two schedules can show a gap neither used (one 2-hour gap when hourly turns four-hourly), so a new interval counts only after 3 settlements in a row. Lighter quotes an 8-hour equivalent, which is not read as its interval.

Why does the settlement interval matter?

Funding is paid at each settlement. The same quoted rate settled every 4 hours changes hands 6 times a day, twice as often as every 8 hours (3 times). dexgc annualises each rate over its own period (rate × 8,760 ÷ interval hours) so contracts on different intervals compare directly.

Can a contract's settlement interval change?

Yes, venues change it contract by contract. In settled records over the past 30 days, 78 contracts changed interval (a new interval counts once it held for 3 settlements in a row); see the list above.
