Annualised sums what actually settled in the window and extrapolates across the hours those settlements covered; it is not today's rate projected forward. Only contracts with at least $1M of 24h turnover and known-period settlements covering at least half the window are ranked — 1385 of them. This is what already happened, not a forecast.
How the realised ranking is calculated
Is realised annualised funding a return already earned?
This is a statistic of settled rates: annualised funding = the sum of known-period settled rates × 8,760 ÷ their covered hours. A total rate of 1% over 240 hours annualises to 36.5%; it does not mean 36.5% was earned in ten days. Actual account cash flows also depend on changing notional positions and prices at each settlement.
What do the negative share and settlement extremes measure?
Negative share is the number of settlements where shorts paid divided by the total count, shown as an integer percentage. It is neither a win rate nor cash-flow weighted. Settlement extremes are the lowest and highest individual rates after each is annualised using its own period, not a range of cumulative returns. Zero rates count as settlements but transfer no funding.
Why might a contract be absent?
Alongside the turnover threshold, known-period settlements must cover at least half of the 30-day window. New listings, missing data, delisting or incomplete collection can exclude a contract; absence does not mean zero funding. The page shows up to 30 contracts in each direction. Check the data sources or search the asset for its available history.
